A short story of 2 young boys from different cultures and backgrounds who meet at critical times in their lives and find they have more in common than they first realized. Their medical conditions and fears eventually draw them together forming a bond that will stay with them forever. As a result they consider themselves to be oddballs in a world of otherwise normal kids.

The boys decide to form a secret club whose members can only belong if they are invited by the founders and share similar life situations. They decide it should be named the Oddball Club.
